Title: Blasted Citroen ... arrgh
Post by: Andy B on 19 August 2019, 19:41:06
SWMBO said 'my interior fan isn't working' as we were both sat at traffic lights on the way to work on Friday morning (separate cars  ::)) then later in the days got messages to say there was water sloshing about 'at the front'  ??? ???
A quick look on Friday night revealed a bucket full of water in the scuttle and both pollen filters sodden. Got rid of most of the water for work sat. Today, after she'd been to work said the wipers are stopping mid cycle .....  :-\ ??? So, after removing the scuttle cover & wiper motor I found another grommet right under the wiper motor .... what a STUPID place to fit a drain, exactly where you can't see it.
Just trying to dry the wiper motor out a bit ..... I know it's wet as it dripped water after removal.
French cars .......... ARGGHHHH  ;D ;D ;D

And the MOT is due  :-X

Well, if you insist on buying French site....  ::) ;D
I was driving to work in mine sat night and used the screen washers. On the second sweep of the screen the drivers side wiper flew off and disappeared over the nearest hedge.  ;D ;D

They could have put the fusebox and ECUs under the floor and had the scuttle drain dump into that area. Not even the French would do such a stupid thing; that takes a German engineering an expensive car. Like a Phaeton or A8. Watching them being dragged off the boat and along Sheerness quayside because the entire car is dead(Germans don't beleive in manual brake or gearbox releases either) is a sight.

First generation[at least] Galaxy/Sharan/Alhambra also had a load of electronic gubbins under passenger[rhd cars]floor where water often leaked all over them.

Mercedes put an expensive body ecu right under where the body always leaks on Smarts.  Bless 'em

It's a VW design, with some Ford input. European Ford, so it's all German thinking.
