Hurricane over Portugal tonight?
« on: 13 October 2018, 17:19:17 »

The tropical storm "Leslie" is actuallie north of the Azores. Leslie will became a category 1 Hurricane in the next hours. That means middle wind around 12 BFT and heavy rainfall up to 100 l per square meter / hour.

Leslie will hit the coast line near Lisboa.

After landfall Leslie will became weak in a short time, so only the coast line is in danger.

Judging by the news this morning, it didn't.

I was glad about the heads up as you get blasé here about dry sunny weather day after day.

Looked at the Internet forecast and it was spot on. Rain starting at 8 a.m. and finished at 1.00 Quite windy too. Thankfully we were on the Southern fringes.
