Air Con Valves
« on: 19 June 2009, 19:28:02 »

I know you can get a new valve for the low pressure valve to the side of the plenum, looks similar to a tyre valve, but the high pressure valve behind the radiator looks like a ball bearing instead of a valve.
I have been up Vauxhall who can't tell me the part I need for the front one :-?

So does anyone have a part number or do I need to get the whole pipe from the condenser to the air con pump?

Cheers :y

As & when/if I ever give my garage a tidy out, the old one might still be around ( it was only Christmas when I had my A/C sorted out) but that number will definitely unscrew from the pipe .....
unless of cousre different years have the valve as part & parcel of the pipe.  :-/  :-/  :-/

 .......

they can only help cos you have to remove the cap in the first place to fill via the valve.  ;)  ;)

Must be dodgy aircon week as mine has stopped working too.
Time to pay the aircon man a visit methinks.

Well, while your A/C is gasless, just to prove a point for the Daz, you could unscrew the HP fill valve.  ;D  ;D  ;D

Pretty sure I just used an ordinary 15mm socket, possibly 6 sided rather than a 12 point.
