Title: Garage refit (with some Omega pic at the end)
Post by: Omega VT3000 on 01 April 2018, 00:47:13
Some of our friends have decided to have a new kitchen fitted to they asked if we wanted their old units on condition that I de-installed them without destroying their kitchen.

Some years ago I had made a bench but I wanted a modelled garage with some decent units - it is never going to be one of these super expense fit outs but given that I am cr4p at DIY. I am quite please with how it has turned out.

This is what I started with:

Vaguely tidy

The first few photos fitted on the same day

The following day, I put the base units in and some reclaimed work surface

Another weekend of effort and it's done. I reused the old worktop from my bench although I may change this at some point and plinths for the left hand side cabinets

It does occasionally get about an inch if it consistently rains heavy for a few days but it has a soak away in the corner.

Yup, garage envy here as well.

I suppose, given my reputation, I should be grateful to have even a small garage ;D

I was fortunate in that I bought the house new in 1998 with a corner plot. I had the garage built to my requirements and it is bigger than the original house. The bit on top followed 4 years later.

That ain,t a garage, that,s a flat. Those units look better than mine in the kitchen.  ;D

Ironically, there was a planning restriction when the garage was built that it could never be turned in to accommodation  ;D
