Afternoon, I had both engine mounts done recently, ever since then, the shift lever doesn't seem to correctly line up with the gears but was fine before.
It also slips out of park when facing uphill....
Any ideas?

Lift the engine off its mounts a little, then re-settle it again?
Ron.

I would certainly be taking it back to whoever did it. :y
-
No reason to disturb the gear linkages to change the engine mounts ???
By that I mean they can be done on the ground using little more than a trolley jack, block of wood, and a short, offset 16mm ring spanner...

perhaps the engine was jacked too high and has bent the shift linkage?
Actually, I can't see how else the problem could have been caused.

Either that, or they disconnected the Gear Linkage to prevent anything bad happening, and re-fitted incorrectly?

That would suggest trying to change both sides at once. :-\

I had the O/s done, and thats when i noticed it.
Then the N/s and it seemed to get worse.

Gearbox mount still intact :-\
