Hi car has failed MOT because the n/s headlamp adjustor has broken inside the headlight   can this be fixed or is a new headlamp

Omega General Help / Windscreen Washers

Hi, The washers on my 2002 2.6cd have started playing up, I only get a dribble of washer fluid when i press and hold the washer switch, if i press it on and off rapidly i get a normal squirt for about 1 second, the washer motor sound like its working fine and the washer tank is full.

Is there a filter or a one way valve that might be faulty, will get chance for a better look this weekend.

Omega General Help / Conked out 2.2 2002 petrol

Hi, I am posting this for my mate who has no internet access at work.

On the way home from work last night he stopped at some traffic lights when the engine management light came on and it wouldn't do more than 15 mph. then conked out totally, everything was dead. Tow man said he couldn't see what was wrong, however, when he got it home he disconnected the battery, reconnected and jump started it.

It ran with the engine light on for a minute and conked out again. Repeated the disconnect reconnect and did it again. This time ran fine without the EML light on but with the battery light on.

Sound like Alternator or a bad connection on an earth strap.

Any ideas gratefully received.

Omega General Help / Door card and button

Hi,

Activated my central locking accidentally on my 02 2.6 Auto via the fob when i was shutting the door, now the locking button on the drivers door refuses to go up or down when locked by the fob, it works fine on the key, I am thinking that a linkage or clip has dropped off.

My question is, anyone come across this before and how easy is the door card to remove on a facelift, i have done them on my pre facelift.

Hi, I meant to do this ages ago, had the car just over 12 months, bought it from eBay, After having my previous Omega for 6 years.

Its been a fantasic car never missed a beat  

Due to a change of job i might have to sell it soon, which i will not be happy about.  

I have only seen one other Omega this colour.

Hi, I have been looking for a new miggy and have run a few valuations through this -

The valuations seem to be at least £500 - £1000 out even for 02/03 cars are they wrong?

Hi all,

Go to http://www.vauxhall.com, select the owners tab and get a free trade in valuation for your Omega, I did not like mine £2210 for a mint 2.6CD 2002 85,000 miler, only works for cars up to 9 years old.

Regards and i wont be trading it in at that price.
