Anyone know the best place to buy these now? The price seems to have shot up in the last 12 months.

Wouldn't bother...

Buy Sachs OE for sensible money... especially for the saloon, unless you budget for the estate top mounts to fit the Bilsteins properly. Sachs come with fittings that match the originals. :y

I put this site in my favourites a year or so ago, but haven't contacted them yet to see if they still sell at these prices.
Might be worth a phone call though.

Never had a problem with the fittings that come with B4 to be honest so unless quality has slipped in the last two years? As it happens I have the full genuine GM fittings brand new (bought from someone who had to buy more parts than required due to the GM minimum order farce).

The Bilsteins for the saloons have a shorter threaded section than the Sachs/factory ones so the correct mountings don't fit as they are 1/2" longer... net result the retaining nut cannot be fitted, let alone tightened.

The supplied fittings are quite frankly crap compared to the genuine ones, although, possibly not £45 worth. Last set I fitted was probably four years ago, but I was unimpressed enough to only fit genuine self levellers to my Plod and Sachs to the rest... :-\

Good shout and great price, are Elite front springs different?  :-\

See that’s shock only, I’ve got some very tired Elite front shocks on 3.2.

Given my more “keen” driving style these days could, could be tempted by B4 all around, but would probably go Sachs/Boge.

Define your definition of "keen" Mr Tunnie.

In any case, B4 is really a OE replacement, not a sports shock.

Less body roll than now, often find zero cars on lane 4 of a particular roundabout. Meaning big queue skip possible, taken to launching out of said lane 4 which is fine, but I get a bit too much roll in the roundabout.

Controlling roll is much more the spring's job than the shock.

Are Elite front springs softer than standard?

Bloody hope not! My cdx handled like a canal boat as it was. Can’t imagine what it’d be like softer handling than that.  ;D

Yeah, really must stick my head up under the wheel arch and check that, but you know how it is with being a CBA sufferer and all... ::)
