Three irrefutable reasons why Barnsley men know the Earth is flat. :P :P :P

1. Maggie shut all the Barnsley coal mines where the pits were so deep they had dug right through to the Dark Side of the Earth, there was a song written about this but government shapeshifters made Pink Floyd change the last word in the album name from Earth to Moon. 8) 8) 8)

2. More musical evidence where Elvis holds regular concerts there & he always tells them the earth is flat. He says watch for the signs. If a red rosette is pinned to a unicorn and labour win the local elections this is 100% proof the earth is flat. Labour win all the elections, so the earth must be flat. History & royalty are on the flat earth side hence the unicorn in the UK heraldic symbol. 8) 8) 8)

3. This Bansley's secret, men only, flat earth society recognise each other as members by wearing the secret symbol, the flat cap, not a globe shaped cap. Have you ever seen a local Barnsley man without his flat cap? 8) 8) 8)

Not convinced well you will be after this.

Those Barnsley folk are still smarting that the centre of the disc is at Greenwich where they know from their racing pigeons that if they are released anywhere on the disk equidistant from Barnsley they will all land at about the sametime as they will all be in their roost when they get back from the local pub after their daily 20 pints, and that is just the hairy-assed lasses as it is a matter of pride that the local Barnsley men all drink all least double that. This shows that only Barnsley can be at the centre of the disk. The pigeons don't land at Greenwich, so the centre of the disc can't be there. 8) 8) 8)

Well of course the Earth is Flat, always has been, thats why we have Maps, Flat Maps, if the Earth was round then we would have to have round ball type Maps in our glove box like a Globe or something, Stupid Boy.

Yes......they seem very credible. I now also believe the world is flat. Brian Cocks knows SFA. :)

cock :
British informal mass noun
 Nonsense.

‘that's all a lot of cock’

I love a good conspiracy theory!  :y

Jeremy Whine had a Flat Earther on the other day who when asked why all the water from the oceans didn't pour off the edge of the world, replied that there is a massive ice wall that runs around the rim and keeps the water in.  :)

He was properly bonkers IMO, but deadly serious about his flat earth beliefs!  ;D
How does the water not fall off the edges then smartypants ??
and don't say that codswallop about the earth being "round and spinning" , we'd all be dizzy  :-\

You quoted my post but clearly didn't read it!  :P  ::)

Are you saying there IS a "massive ice wall" but the bloke was "bonkers" for some other reason  :-\

No I don't think that there is a massive ice wall at all.  ::)  That's just bonkers!  ;D

I think that the Earth is slightly concave so the water stays on and the reason that there is ice at the rim is just because it's bloody cold out there.  ;)

Have you been as far north as where some bloke called Hadrian is rumoured to have built a wall to keep skirt wearing men out of England and it is meant to be colder the further north beyond this wall you go, until you fall off the edge of the disc and world? ::) ::) ::)

A very good self employed brickie, paid by bricks laid per day, friend of mine, everytime he meets a Jock, says he will rebuild Hadrian's wall for nothing. ;D ;D ;D

If they want fancy brick pillar swirls or flint work, like he used to do for Charlie Church, the price is negotiable. 8) 8) 8)
