They why not the rear as well? Besides, if you can find a uniform track to run the car on, I could possibly understand that, but in the real world...

I've just had the car looked at by Kwik Fit (yes, I know  ::))

They used a Hunter Hawkeye......and want £75. Only thing is they say the camber is out at the front but the camber is not adjustable front or rear, so It has to stay wrong.

Camber can't be adjusted? Is this correct?

So settings should be:

Ride Height

Front - 385mm +/- 12mm (measured centre of wheel to apex of wheel arch, all fluid full, full tank, no occupants/luggage, tyres inflated to normal pressure)
Rear  - 384mm +/- 12mm (measured centre of wheel to apex of wheel arch, all fluid full, full tank, no occupants/luggage, tyres inflated to normal pressure)

Front
Camber Left -0.36 (+/-.25), Right -0.12 (+/-.25) Balance -.24 (+/-.25) (Balance = left-right)
Caster Left -6.53 (+/-.45), Right -6.20 (+/-.45) Balance -.33 (+/-.45) (Balance = left-right)
Toe-Total Toe 0.13 (+/-.12)

Rear
Camber Left -0.59 (+/-.25), Right -0.59 (+/-.25) Balance -.24 (+/-.25) (Balance = left-right)
Toe Left  0.5 (+/-.8 ), Right 0.5 (+/-.8 ) Total Toe - 0.1 (+/-.12)
Why are the front numbers different side to side? Or is the chassis built twisted ???

To accommodate road crown, maybe?

You don't think it's to compensate for the driver's weight, seeing as the spec says to check with the car unloaded?
This would explain why it isn't different for the the back.

From Marks post earlier
"Its pretty bad but should be adjustable for half what the dealer want.....camber caster and toe can be adjusted."

I've never forgiven Kwik-Fit for condemning my front discs as unserviceable due to their having rusty rims. No scoring and plenty of meat on the discs, but wanted an obscene price to change them.
When I had my 4-wheel alignment done, I sought a second opinion - "Perfectly ok sir, nothing to worry about" came the verdict.

All the angles are adjustable, Jaguar tend to use cam bolts for this.

So the front/rear camber is adjustable?......Kwik Fit says "computer says no".

They also say X250 and X260 have identical settings for wheel alignment. Not sure about that.

I don't have (easy) access to TOPix for your car to 100% confirm. You could either sign up yourself and pay the fee, or ask that nice Mr DTM reprobate to check for you....

Pm your email address and I will send the relevant docs.

Camber, caster and toe are adjustable at the front and camber plus toe at the rear.

Settings are different on the X260 and the difference at the front is to compensate for the drivers weight as Nick pointed out

Looking at those results i would imagine that front toe is fine. As stated earlier they probably just clamped the steering wheel a fraction off centre.we are only talking minutes of a degree and it wouldnt have to be clamped far off to show such a small difference. If the car drives straight on the crown of a straight road and the steering wheel is straight then i suspect that is what they have done. I bet if you went back again without altering anything that the readings wouldnt be the same.!.rear camber is out a bit thou ? . But if thats adjustable ?
