Modern BINI forums are the exact opposite - The best advice is SEE YOUR DEALER
I'm single handedly trying to turn the main UK Jag forum (well, the current XJ section) from the "only a dealer can be trusted to work on your car" into something far more sensible. Boy, its an uphill struggle.

Moggy, I agree this place is a fountain of knowledge, freely given, that has helped me when I've got stuck with my cars, and not just the Omega.

And I've made many personal friends through this place as well.

Long may it continue...  ...certainly all planned costs for the next 3 years are covered, so we should at least have that long :D

A few of the old boys on here might not be around that long.  ;D

Speak for yourself. I plan on being around at least another three years, although I may be sat dribbling by the sunny window with a lump of potato stuck on my chin, wishing I had a mobility scooter, and no memory of what an Omega is.  ;D

nice post that Dean  ( I missed it yesterday  :-[ )

I have been on here under various guises for something like 9 years  ( may even be 10)  so don't take too much notice of my post count  ;) ;)  & have always enjoyed it . I have not found another car forum like it.

Plenty of good advice from very knowledgable people , and  not only on car issues.

Long may it continue    :y :y

This place is a gold mine of information and not purely Omega related. I too feel in debt to this site and have previously offered to chuck a few quid into the pot, but my offer was politely declined.

I'm happy to keep coming back.

the exception you might have noticed today on another topic, someone who is intent on souring the good atmosphere of the forum. For what reason I cannot even imagine, but who can fathom the workings of a deranged mind?
Ron

Thank you for pointing out how offensive Stemo's and Doctor Gollum's posts were in that thread.  Unfortunately we cannot view the thread now.

They were plainly trolling as their responses had nothing to do with the topic being discussed and were merely gratuitously obscene comments which clearly broke the forum guidelines.

I believe this is why the entire thread was deleted - the moderators did not like Stemo's and Doctor Gollum's offensive behaviour.

Tell me, Jonnie Boy, did your mother drop you on your head when you were young? It would explain a lot.  :)

Nope, won't bite as it defeats the sole point of this thread...

STEMO, it is pointless arguing with someone SO delusional as to think that the miscreants were you and DG. I may not always agree with you, but you have good intentions and don't normally take banter outside of being friendly. The person in question is toxic to the Forum and should be removed - Admin, please?

No comment....once the fist of the X260s come out of warranty (September), it will be interesting to see what happens to that section!

Yes, ok to extract the Michael Bliss from, but look at the reactions and bad words he invoked from others, spoiling the nature of the Forum. That's what I meant by "toxic".
The Forum is precious to me and many others; I don't want to see it ruined by demented, delusional people.
