I watching the BBC's annual patriotic extravaganza The Last Night Of The Proms. 

The crowd are happily belting out Land Of Hope And Glory and Rule Britannia, and many are waving EU flags and wearing EU flag berets!

There was no fat lady in a Union flag dress this year; but what a wonderfuls saxophonist - and only 19 years old.

Many English people, especially those in the South think that English / British is exactly the same thing. Its a stupid attitude though.
British people from all over the UK fought for their country in both world wars among others. There are non so patriotically British as Northern Ireland protestants.

I was at the' 96 Last Night, about three rows back in the arena and waving a 4'x3' Swiss flag*

Made it onto the live broadcast, and spending 3 days queuing was well worth every minute. The whole experience was an absolute blast...

Nope. They have already lost but wont accept it. The only way they can win is to completely abolish democracy in the UK, although Im sure they would try to spin it as something else entirely.
