Just been out dogging, passed the local rugby club, and the mad frickers are out there playing with their odd shaped balls.

Its -1C, the ground is frozen and rock hard, and still has a snow scattering from this morning's flurry.

They used to...frequently. Don't you remember seeing the football pitches with the lines cleared of snow? Undersoil heating has made the pitches more playable, but they will be out there in minus temperatures this weekend.

I do. That was when it was a sport, and people played fair, but tough. A sport worth watching.

I was out training tonight. -3 here apparently.  Was only cold for about 15 mins.  After that it was quite toasty.

There are some proper pansified knob heads around...

Been doing an induction all week, rooms are quite warm, so have had the aircon on full chat... Nice and comfortable in short sleeved shirt but one chap insisted on making a drama out of putting on two jumpers and a coat rather than asking to turn the temperature up slightly.

Given that he was doing the job, (working out on the Ramp), last year, but started in May and finished in October, he's in for one hell of a surprise next week when we start outside

I will be laughing my nads off wearing a T shirt, fleece and hi vis. I can see him wearing full artic gear or asking for a job inside

For me it's not about being 'ard, it's just you don't let your mates/team down.  Plus I don't really feel the cold unless I am sick. I often wear a vest jacket outside just so that people don't think I am deranged.

I had a hospital appointment this morning and cycled there. It was a bit cold, but comfortable at -4degC where the exercise keeps you warm. As soon as I got into the hot hospital I started sweating buckets and the pads for an ECG kept falling off. Anybody that knows Frimley Park Hospital knows it's cardiac outpatients is like playing Crystal Maze to solve the problem to understand their trail of cryptic signs. Fortunalely I arrived 15 minutes early and won where I ended up in reception with 2 minutes to spare.

Correct and that is if you can find a parking space. Parking my bike is easy as the bike racks are always half empty.

I often cycle as its easy to access but lately i have been having foot problems.  I was in a boot cast for a few months last year.

I hope you don't end up in the same situation as my ex-wife where a bone in her foot had collapsed and she needed an operation and pinning followed by 3 months with a heavy cast and another 3 months with a light one. Once the final cast was taken off it hadn't worked so had to be repeated, which has now been done, with another 6 months recovery time. The recovery part means limited mobility, basically it will end up with 12 months+ of sitting on the sofa watching TV & no driving.

Nope.  My right foot is in intermittent pain.  Despite MRI, x-ray and ultrasound tests 3 different doctors have no idea what is wrong.  So I am now under the care of the physio-terrorist who is also unsure what is wrong. 

I have told them that as they cannot find anything wrong with my foot I am going to continue playing rugby until it is worse and they can figure it out.  Speaking of which, I need to remember to pack my tracksuit bottoms for rugby training tonight.

I have a similar problem with my left foot. Every time it gets painful enough for me to seriously consider booking a Doctors appointment, it eases off again for a while.
I may get to the bottom of it one day, but as TB says " a bit of pain never hurt anyone".

Similar thing with left knee. Aches generally when walking or getting on bike. Says to SWMBO that i,ll book a docs appointment and it clears for a while then comes back again. Gettin old ain,t  fun chaps.
