Got me thinking, must get a list together, not including company cars.

1968 Clubman 1275, think you might be mistaken with this, the Clubman did not come out till 1970 iirc.   :-/

It doesnt say Clubman matey !!!

It says Mini 1275, which it was, a Mini (round front) with a 1275 engine retrofitted.....

Are you thinking of the 1275GT, which has a Clubman front?

Mine is no where near as long. But been driving for 4 years  (am 21) so still had a fair few. No accidents, I just get bored easily  ::)

1. 1988 Nissan Micra 1.0 GSX (cost £137 and insurance £1300  :-/)

2. 1994 Renault 19 1.4 Biarritz (sold to a friend where it became a 0.7 after dropping two cylinders)

3. 1997 Renault Laguna 2.2D RT (slow but dependable)

4. 1997 Vauxhall Vectra 1.6 16v LS (my first Vectra but was pretty gutless)

5. 1999 Vauxhall Vectra 2.5 V6 SRi (my first taste of a 6 and I was hooked)

6. 1999 Peugeot 406 2.0 GLX Estate (had it for 2 weeks)

7. 2000 Citroen Xantia 2.0 HDi SX (the car I owned the longest, was doing regular long haul trips and needed economy, returned 60mpg)

8. Vauxhall Omega 2.5 V6 CDX Auto (bought because it was there and cheap)

9. Vauxhall Omega 3.0 V6 Elite Manual (after buying the 2.5 decided I wanted a 3.0 Manual, so I bought one  :D)

7-1984 Capri 2.0S-swapped the 2.8 with my brother.

9-1987 Renault 9-what a car!!(I mean it)

14. 1991 Fiesta XR2i (split up with g/f and her kids so single man again, single mans car.....)
think you mean WOMANS car ;)

Also, the crappy BMW mini - this is very common for them to be rejected, I guess you had to sign the disclaimer about accepting the faults may be on the new car, yet did not constitute a design problem?  The poor sod who bought your rejected one (they just get sold on, as deemed nothing to repair) is the unlucky one, as they are buying 2nd hand, so cannot reject as easily ;D

I tend to keep cars until I kill them, so here goes

1982 Triumph Acclaim HLS - great engine, pretty rapid, didn't do corners. Did around 30k, gave to my brother.
1986 Vauxhall Belmont 1.8GLSi - first engine, WOW! Replacement engine shite. Only had car 3 months, hated it. Covered around 15-20k in that time though.
1990 Vauxhall Astra GTE - girls car. Abysmally bad chassis, couldn't handle the engine. Bought it just under 2yrs old, started to rust before its 3rd birthday, sold it after a year due to the hassle (police pulls, breakins etc) and the £3k insurance renewals!
1990 Rover 216GSi - one of the best cars I've owned, for what it was, went like stink (quicker than the GTE, only it handled, and could stop!). Awful economy (averaged 25mpg ::)), but it lived on the redline all the time. No PAS though, kept me fit! Sold to my brother when he got divorced.

In this era I was carless for a while - Mrs TB had company/lease cars, I had a works supplied van.

2000 Rover 25 1.6iS - first new car (that I've paid for myself), and one we still have on the drive.  HG issues aside, its been a great car. Build quality is, errr, 'Longbridge', but being one of the very first 25s, it has the handling.
1998 Vauxhall Omega MV6 - only intended to keep it a few months, still have it 5.5yrs later
1996 Vauxhall Omega CD - Project TB1
1999 Vauxhall Omega Elite - Project TB2, well known on this site, and the current owner is a member. I miss that car, despite the grief it gave me for the first 9 months.

My brother had it for a few years, used it as a 'van' when he was rebuilding his house. Other than petrol and tyres, he never did anything to that car, not even check the oil, let alone change it. I used it when I moved house, and it still went like stink ::).  Eventually scrapped due to needing more done to it than it was worth (welding, pads and discs all round, a bloody good service). Engine was still strong at 140k when it was scrapped - not bad when you consider that in my ownership, it had spent its life up around 7000rpm.

This takes me back, mostly I run cars to the ground or until they're written off too. So not that many really for 17 years of driving! Recently taken to storing them as 'projects'  ;D ;D

1978 Renault 12 - cost £250 in 1993. All sun-bleached red and black vinyl. lasted a few months before brakes failed and wrote it off along with a clit and an escort!

1978 Mini 850 - Leyland variety. Family heirloom that was passed from great grandfather to nanna to mother, to me. Clocked well over 100000 miles! Many happy days learning in it and driving until 1999 when a Carlton came along. Still got it sitting in a lock up as I refuse to part company.

1988 Carlton 2.0 GLi saloon - a £700 runabout that lasted ages (40k in 3 yrs) until it needed a new floor, steering rack, exhaust .....

1996 Omega 2.0 16V Select manual saloon - The absolute base model possible. Still, driving 16k in 2 yrs I found it great to drive and a great replacement for the Carlton as no problems or costs during ownership. Not long after discovering the autobahnstormers website I was hankering after an Elite though!

1999 Omega 3.0 Elite auto saloon. Beautiful. Star silver, black leather, did a fantastic 3 years (20k?) in this before writing it off with a Micra :(  :'( Still miss it, and wish one day for another 3 litre....

1996 Omega 2.5 V6 CDX auto saloon. bought as a project/elite fund making idea as it'd only done 65k, run for about 200 miles, couldn't sell it and it's still sitting on the lawn as a parts supplier. wish i'd never laid eyes on it!

1999 Omega 2.5 V6 Elite manual saloon. Bought as a replacement for the 3.0, like the performance and the toys but never truly loved it.

1999 Omega 2.0 16V manual estate. excellent runaround & load shifter with the bonus of being sourced from and LPG converted by a fabulous forum member. Has given me the bug for an Elite estate, and LPG always!

Vectra Elite Estate doing good post-Omega service but still not as nice to sit in.

One last Omega on the drive, one Corsa on the lawn...maybe they'll go to a good home before too long!

Can't remember some of the years but this is how my vehicle ownership goes from 1970........

1) 1966 Split screen VW camper van Devon conversion Joint owned with my dad.
2) 1971 VW beetle 1300 (saw it around eight years ago in mint condition in Staffordshire)
3) 1973 Vauxhall Viva HB 1256cc bigger car with boot required, gutless engine wish I'd never bothered.
4) 1973 Vauxhall Victor 2.3cc needed a towcar, wished I'd kept hold of it a little longer.
5) 1980 Datsun Cherry the only car bought brand new, I needed a small car cause I was doing a lot of miliege, working away from home.
6) 1979 Renault 18 (I think it was) nice car good engine and gearbox but things started to break, like handbrake lever, door lever, clutch pedal etc...
7) 2lt Cortina
8) Renault 6
9) Skoda Estelle
10) Lada Riva
11) Datsun Stanza had a problem with a leaking driveshaft which was never fixed, so got rid quickly.
12) 1992 Nissan Primera 2lt GLX best car and most reliable car ever owned, nothing went wrong in 4 years.
13) Nissan Primera 2lt SRI again brilliant car, but too many boy racers around just wanted to sit right up your arse end I found, so got rid....it wasn't really that fast just had a bodykit and stiffer suspension and high insurance.
14) Nissan Primera 1.8 s Yet again another one this time a sedate base model hatchback.
15) Nissan Primera 2lt SE+ estate and another one this time top of the range leather and all.
16) Omega 2.5TD Facelift estate, current car and it does the job nicely, it's been chipped and in excellent condition, can't see me wanting to part with this just yet.
17) 1999 Skoda Felicia 1300 ok for a runaround, but it was a little rusty around the edges.
18)1990  Vauxhall Astra 1.4 LX...current runaround and only done 30,000 miles immaculate condition

Of the above cars I can really say 7,8,9 & 10 were only bought at a time as that was all I could afford, otherwise they would have never been in the list.
Wish I still had the VW camper, have seen how much they are fetching now in good nick.

think you mean WOMANS car ;)

Also, the crappy BMW mini - this is very common for them to be rejected, I guess you had to sign the disclaimer about accepting the faults may be on the new car, yet did not constitute a design problem?  The poor sod who bought your rejected one (they just get sold on, as deemed nothing to repair) is the unlucky one, as they are buying 2nd hand, so cannot reject as easily ;D

Yes mate, I know for a fact that the rejected Cooper was sold again by the same dealer cos I saw it about 6 months later at one of the Mini events.....

Went up and introduced myself but didnt know what to say when the new owner asked me why i sold it........!!!

Ok then, mine is slightly different  :)

Starts with the popular fiesta

1994: 1.1L A reg, fire red/rusty brown - my dads old car and my first, crashed it and learn welding re-building front.

Then I go all strange and start buying old tin  :D

2002: 1256 Vauxhall Viva, Henly Blue - drum brakes all round! Moved her on after three years.
2004: 2300 Vauxhall Viva SL, met green - big engine, knackered suspension, in my garage in bits
2006: 1800 Vauxhall Viva Deluxe, every blue in the book - parked in another garage awaiting time.
2006: 2300 Vauxhall Viva SL, red - just greedy, only a score left around and I own two! (also 'resting').
2007: 1600 Vauxhall Viva SL Auto, blue - only known survior of this model, part owned with a mate (also 'resting').
2007: 1800 Vauxhall Magnum Estate, been more reliable the the Mig so far!
2007: 1256 Vauxhall Viva Estate, so rotton we pulled the wing mirrors off by hand, currently transforming into a trailer.
2008: 99 2.5V6 Mig Estate, Silver - Soooo many problems  :'(

Started in mid/late 20s with cars, I was unemployed in early 80s so had no money - but borrowed my mums cars a few times, favourite was an old Avenger estate.

B1) R reg Honda moped (1977)
B2) 1978 V Suzuki GP100 sport (1978)
B3) 1981 X Suzuki GS250T (Written off by stupid woman) (1983)
B4) 1980 W frame for above - ran for years
B5) Y reg GS250T only TSCC I could find after B4 was arsoned - the GSX400 got sold before I got the cheque.
B6) CB200 crap slowest non moped sold for a profit, used 3 times AFAIR (when replacing cam chain in B5)
B7) X reg GSX250 - best of the twins, bought as non runner used for a couple of months then sold for big profit just after B6
B8) F reg GSX600F - (from new) my best ever bike sold after I kept getting pulled. (1988)
(still got B5)

C1) A Y reg Renault saloon 1.4 and slow - written off by a lorry (1990)
C2) S reg Chrysler Sunbeam 1.0 LS for £100 very very slow, a colleague of my dad was breaking an Avenger I got the engine and box for the Sunbeam, new suspension ect, eventually tuned, ran it for about 5 years, disappeared after another 3 from storage near work :( - was rotten then.

B5 was sold during this period

C3) 1987 E reg GLi 2.0 Carlton ran for 5-6 years (1996-2001)

C4) Omega 2.0 GLS P reg mini facelift with Aircon (2001) RTA due to tiredness

C5) N reg 2.0 CD ran for nearly 4 years

C6) W reg MFL MV6 - RTA due to a diseasel spill and bad geometry (2005)

C7) Y reg FL 2.6  6/03/01 bought in dec 2005

Overlap between B1 and B2

B3 B4 B5 ended up as same bike as I had to use bits to keep on road

Ran B4 B6 at same time and B5 B6 B7, for a few weeks B5 B7 B8 sole B7 to pay for tyres for B8

Ran C1 and C2 with B5

C5 and C6 for about 6 weeks
