Volvo's arn't supposed to break...
« on: 10 July 2009, 16:47:16 »

..my gearbox or diff is a bit toasted lol, makes a nice loud munching noise which increases with speed :P
so i can either get a new gearbox which im not doing (1700 is a bit much for the pocket on a 2k car lol) so going £400 second hand (diff is part of the unit) so hence expensive
...i didnt think there was such thing as a broken gearbox at 106k miles lmao!
the autoboxes last 150k
anyway thought i'd post this as something to post as i'v not posted much interesting recently

aisin warmer box on father in laws c70 2.4 t5 turbo. Local auto specialist sees them quite regularly at 35 to 40k. Planet gear and valves in valve body mostly. Load of rubbish, also fitte to some gm, renault, nissan front wheel drive models.  But on the other hand is there any such thing as a bullit proof auto box.
