Roy,

if its the plastic section thats cracked (end tank) then recoring is not an option for you, as the radiator core (metal part with pipes and fins) is what is replaced when the radiator is recored.

Mike yeah plastic piece is my problem still just ordered a rad from www.adrad.co.uk so hopefully it will do the job.

Hopefully i should have it for the weekend for fitting.

Well I am in shock, I ordered my new rad at 17:02 yesterday and it arrived this morning at 9:30 this morning well shocked :o

Talk about quick delivery.

Shall see what I can do, hopefully camera phone piccys will be ok as I dont have a proper camera yet.  :)

Right spent the afternoon yesterday fitting my new Rad seemed to go in fine without any major problems, but you know the saying fix one problem and another appears well this seems the case.

The old Rad had a crack in the plastic near the top pipe, it was titchy but all the same was the cause of the leak.

Just got to keep an eye on the fluid level as you never know, ground I was parked on wasn't the best.

Shall start a new thread to do with the other problem.

So far I have found no more little puddles and the car operating temperature is alot better its only gone up past the 95 mark a couple of times but this has mainly been due to sitting in traffic.

Also the Heating itself gets very very hot which is nice on the cold mornings.

So all in all I am happy just hope I dont get any further problems with it in the future.

...just wondering if you got your rad sorted?  I have a spare in the shed at home, complete with the fans.  Its off a 94 2.5 TD.

Not to jinx you or anything lol, but i fitted a new rad to the mv6......2 weeks before the head gasket went  ;D I'm sure yours will be fine though  [smiley=thumbup.gif]
