MOT Preperation woes
« on: 06 September 2006, 12:55:31 »

All this being done for the MOT tomorrow.

Finally started replacing the droplink on mine last night got one done so shall do the other tonight.

Absolute nightmare not sure how you can torque the top bolt but removal was a right pain in the arse and in the end took a junior hacksaw to the top bolt and from then on no probs.

Can anyone tell me though whats the recommended tyre depth for passing mine are about 4-5mm in tread and am not sure if they will pass.

Got a few things to do tonight check the lights I have replacement pair for the front to fit may do this so atleast I know they will pass although right bugger if the levels are all wrong.

Exhaust rattle which seems to be coming from one of the heatshields

Any advice is much appreciated.

There's a link in the "Technical Info" section on here, Had a look & it is 1.6mm across 75% of the middle of the tyre.

Good luck tomorrow.
The tyres seem fine.  1.6 across 3/4 and no obvious damage/bulges.
