MID - Whats all this lot......

I remember reading a post recently where someone played with both buttons on the computer control stalk and some random numbers came up on the display. Bu**ered if I can find it again.....

Was waiting to uplift someone this evening and, well, bored fingers sometimes play.   :o

When I pressed and held both buttons of the computer stalk simultaneously on mine, the following number sequences came up on the mid.

Top left - 046
Top Right - 3
Bottom Right - 24555

I'm guessing at some calibration value for fuel computer, but thats it - a guess.

Anyone clever shed some light on this?

Top left - Code Index (sort of config)
Top right - SW Version, V4 is latest for any MIDs I've played with lately
Not sure about the other figure...   ...I'll try to check MV6 tonight (got project TB1 here today) where I have modifed consumption callibration to see if different figure.

OK, so I can draw up a little table, can you also just confirm the car you are doing it on, including:

Year
Engine
Auto/Manual
MID type (Old/New/GID)  (older have radio display above computer function)

OK, I think I know now.

Basically, the 5 digit number is to do with the pulse settings...

Gonna try and get a table together...

I've done an edit to my info to show tyre size - 235/45 17 - since the rolling diameter etc may have an influence on odo/range etc?
