OK, a BIG BIG thanks to Timbuk, theolodian & TheBoy!
My mechanical experience before today was basically changing oil/fliter plugs/leads, just really basic stuff, but with their help I did it. It's not really that hard & if you've got any experience with the spanners; you can do it. If I had to do it on my own tomorrow; I could (well if my back's recovered).
Thanks again.

Kev, are you feeling OK?  Is the stress and debilitating fear becomming too much?  I ask, because you are obviously suffering an emotional break from reality if you think we're sorry for being nasty to you  ;) ;D

No one is going to censor their feelings when winding up your crank.  :o

Well I plugged in the Tech2 into Timbuk's car, so I can conclusively prove if it was a crank sensor or not...

But before I say, we'll let Kev sweat it out a bit longer....

If it was, or wasn't, the fault would have been cleared by now anyway, so that's not conclusive.  ;)
