2.2 dti purge valve location (p1590 (8))

Hello,

Please can someone help me to find where this part is located (pic attached). The car is running rough and after a bit of research I've been told it's this part that needs changing, thing is I can't find it....

Back of the head, drivers side. Probably. ;)

Working on the basis that it does the same job as the petrol one... that is to allow tank fumes to be released into the combustion process in a controlled manor. Vapour trap is in the right hand wheel arch on the A pillar (hidden behind the wheel arch liner) :y

Thanks for the reply, it functions differently to the petrol cars, that me thinks is a vacuum booster valve for the reservior

It won't be too far from the brake booster vac then...

It won't be too far from the brake booster vac then...
  it looks like the valve that has the vacuum pipe from the the turbo going onto it. hard to see it, I think its a expansion tank out of the way job to see it better. turbo boost valve if I  am right,
