Calculating it by re-filling the tank and comparing against miles... my 2.5 used to consistently do over 33mpg on a run

yes mainly on the A road that was 33 to gallon.

when i collected the car, the trip distance was 1,800 miles on the counter, and the average was 28 or 28.6 ish.

its bloody nice to drive, not had a 3.0 elite in for a while, thumbs up i say!
