Whirlpool recall.
« on: 30 July 2019, 15:08:08 »

Hard to believe, but I have been online and found that our 2005 Indesit tumble dryer, which is 3 parts f*ucked, is covered by the recall. :y

Been thinking of buying a new one for the last few months but no need now as they will soon be delivering a brand new replacement. :y

An additional bonus is that Mrs Opti's Christmas present has also been sorted. :y

Excellent. Nearly enough for a tank of fuel.  :y

The original exhaust on the 2003 Corsa needs replacing. I'm hoping Vauxhall will do it FOC as a gesture of goodwill. :)

No, Lizzie.

We used to run it during the night on cheap electricity, but we stopped when it nearly set fire to the house. Almost dead in our beds. :-X

I had mine modified by a Hotpoint engineer, and there is now a green dot on it to confirm it has been done. So I cannot get a new one! ::) ::) :D :D ;)

I've got used to the smell of burning now and it still works. However, we always keep an eye on it and never use it while we sleep.

I could have been killed, Lizzie. Just imagine the loss to this forum...... ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

I never leave the house, or go to bed, with any electrical appliance left on, esp the tumble drier.

I used to, say 20 years ago, when a tumble drier had two dials....temperature and time. But technology has taken a leap backwards since then. Now you have 75 different settings, none of which work as well as the two we had, and your household appliances try to kill you.

Choice is good but the older I get the more I think we have 'too much choice'

When you get elderly I guess admitting you no longer need or want sex and moving to separate beds is like admitting you shouldn't be driving and selling your car.  :-\  :)
