Sun roof and rear stop bulb
« on: 05 June 2017, 08:46:54 »

Hi all,  anyone shed a light on why, when I shut my sunroof it will sometimes stay shut but very often will tilt open, close and then tilt partly open again and I have to keep opening and closing it again to keep it shut?

My other question which will probably tell you that I am not a hands on mechanic is how do I change a rear nearside stop light bulb?

My car is a 2003 2.6 Omega CDX.

Many thanks to anyone who can help.

Graham

Sunroof switch needs cleaning as per the guide.

Please read the manual for the bulb ;)

Also worth doing a Full Open, Shut, Tilt recycle reset allowing the Stop feature to reset, especially if the Battery has been off recently.  ;)

Given that there's a free downloadable facelift owners manual available on this very site my approach is to presume that people can read.

No point having the guides and FAQs in dedicated sections if people CBA to read them :-X

this forum has loads of info as you suggest, but if you don't know what you're looking for or where to look for it, it can be off putting for a newbie. The last thing they want to hear is Please read the manual

Many thanks to all for advice given on what is probably a very simple question/problem.

Give me an artic with a 45 foot trailer and I'll put it in any space providing it's big enough, but to fix any kind of electrical or mechanical problems on a car I need all the help I can get.

If you get stuck with anything, Nick W is local to you, and what his mechanical ability doesn't cover probably isn't worth knowing  ;)
