Be careful not to drop anything in under the handbrake. I dropped a 10mm socket in there and spent over an hour trying to find the little f@@ker and get it out!!

Yes.

Why do you need to get to it?

In answer to Fat Shadow, my airbag light has been on for about four years,(covered it with ins.tape).
Due to change on MOT regs its now a failure as we all know now.I,m no mechanic so the guy who does it
all for me says leave it till nearer MOT time (Aug) and go from there. Also may not be ecu anyway but i thought
i would ask anyway. Hope this all makes sense. :-[

Unlikely to be ecu unless the SRS has activated.

unplugging the ecu will still be an MOT fail.

The new rules state that the warning lamp must work, although it needn't successfully complete its test cycle.

Ergo - never coming on is a fail
Always on is a fail
