My car (facelift) is z147 silver. It has had a later z157 silver door fitted for the last couple of years. The difference in colour (on this occasion at least) was so small as to be barely perceptible,if at all.
A couple of weeks ago I decided I would change it for an absolutely mint z147 door.Much to my surprise, the difference in colour between this door and the rest of the car is so great that it stands out like a sore thumb. The only reason I can come up with is that the car it came from spent most of its life garaged, away from sunlight etc. and my car hasn't.
The correct colour door is coming off the car and the "wrong colour" is going back on.
If changing to a facelift door,it might be easier to use facelift rubbing strips on all 4 doors, rather than pay out ££ for one prefacelift rubbing strip to fit to the replacement door ?
