No hip replacement, just a splint/scaffolding screwed into the bone, which is said to be quite strong. I've had to turn don my invitation to Strictly Come Dancing, though!
Two weeks ago I fell and broke my hip bone and have been in hospital ever since - bloody painful! I am virtually immobile and have only just managed to get a Wi-Fi connection, so lots of catching up to do. I've been brilliantly well looked after, but recovery will take some weeks - walking frame and baby steps!
Society for thr Preservation of Proper English? Including correct grammar, please: I have some pet hates, how long have you got? Kilo-meter. not kill-ommeter Lever - not levver Between you and me - not I Me and you went there - wrong case, wrong order - impolite - you and I... You must have your own list; care to share?
I agree 100%. It has been over a year since Hotmail blocked my original email address that I had owned for nearly 30 years because of seemingly unauthorised activity. I have made numerous attempts to convince them that I am the real me and I do own the account, giving email contacts, etc. to the best of my memory, but the b*ggers are incalcitrant. Could TB cull thr lot of them?
Yes AA, all I got was the option to Uninstall. However, I think I've cracked it: I right-clicked on a letter in my folder and selected something (cannot remember what) and suddenly they all became Word documents! Phew! Thanks gents.
I have a folder for my business letters, which are written as Word documents with JPG extensions. Suddenly the extensions have all changed to DOCX ones - without my permission! I cannot view them without using FileViewer3, which is tedious. Is there any way to recover this situation, i.e. returning them to Word files? Any help gratefully received.
