have 3 of them Nige but never had them working, looks like some leaks on the two i have off in the parts shed but will look at the MV6 one this weekend

Ta.. I'm led to believe that if left empty/not running them some internal seals dry out and never recover.. so really after one that has been in use reasonably recently .. mine's making a horrible "knocking" sound ....

what state are the headlamp lenses ? (i know i could polish mine,  but if those are better, it might be worth it )

I don't know what it's called, but beneath the front bumper and to the side there is a small panel that sort of pops out, maybe for access towing points. This is drivers side. Mine got popped out by some road debris.

If you know what I'm talking about and there is one, I'm interested and frequently driving up and down the M4, like this afternoon/evening . Different colour of course, but I'm sure I can get spray paint that matches. My car Rubens red 03 MV6 Estate.

Ah yes. Of course  I don't have much use for a whole silver bumper, and you don't want a bumper with a bit missing. Ah well

Joff, would you consider liberating the nearside rear chassis rail? I'm after the section just inside the rear panel where the exhaust hanger is mounted, as mine has all but disintegrated...

The hanger block is the bit I need, but it might be easier to trim it down from the rail off the car to suit the rusty bit on mine

Btw, those bolts are for the towbar... the bracket is welded on, (or rather, used to be )
