Just been on bbc news that Grace Jones has passed away.

To qualify, Dorothy Gwendoline Payne is older than my mother, but as her D.O.B. cannot be verified, my mother is officially the oldest verified person in the UK.

Sad really, as Dorothy would not have been able to receive cards from the Queen.
