Hi, Does anyone know where I can get the performance tuning chip featured in this guide:

And is it as simple as the guide states (no soldering) and no other re-programming etc. required?

A seller on ebay is selling similar chips with similar BHP figures:

Be careful......
BHP figures optimistic.......

NOT so easy to fit, and will need a damn good service first.

Bought one a bit back, faster on accelleration, ran worse, fuel figures poor.

Use a well known firm that does them, NOT an ebay unknown.

Try INTERPRO or SUPERCHIPS first port of call.

also.. beware that they are only "no soldering" if the original chip is in a socket. Many ECUs have the chip soldered in, which makes removal quite a delicate desoldering operation.

Hmmm... Having driven the "Silver Bullet" I'm still tempted :-/ :-/

To the OP... Beware, if it's as effective as the one in TB's MV6 you'll be using more fuel as the 4700-5700RPM range becomes addictive ::) ::)

Thanks for all the info.
SupeChips are charging nearly £300 for a 12 BHP increase.
I can not seem to find any website for INTERPRO. (keeps taking me to a dead site)

If I want to change the ECU chip in my omega (non soldering type) to another one, what would the process be?

Starts off with unclipping and taking out the ECU.
But is there anything I need to do before hand?
Would I need to disconnect the battery first, then unclip the ECU, then replace the ECU chip then do everything in reverse?
Once the chip has been installed, do i need to reset anything or put the car back into learn mode?

I never bothered to disconnect battery.

I do, however, use full ESD precautions if at all possible.  The stuff is pretty resilient, but its an extra 'unknown' to add to any further issues...
