Mk6 Fiesta 08 plate. Central locking issue
« on: 23 March 2020, 19:04:34 »

Hi All
looking for a bit of help / advice here. Mk 6 fiesta  . . .  changed drivers door due to minor accident damage. Complete door as it came off with door card , mirror etc.  All ok except drivers door does not lock on the remote.  other 3 doors all lock . If i sit in drivers seat and push door opening  lever inwards  . .all 4 doors lock .   Is it the case i have to fit the cental lock gubbings from my original door or something more sinister.  Also dont have the key for this new door , so was planning to swap key barrels anyway  (if thats feasable)
Any advice greaatly appriciated  . . .TIA   Al  :y

Swap the gubbins over ;)

Everything has a module in it coded to the car...

Use the entire door loom rather than just the boxes just in case the wiring is different.

This drivers door locking problem is now sorted  :y  quite a few steps involved getting into the door from the inside to get  to the locking module. Seems the old days of removing the door card and everything is on show are now well gone  ::) ::) Took me around 90 mins in all following a You Tube guide I found .  I could possibly do it half that time now that I have done this one  ;) ;)
Did not have to change the loom as was exactly the same . Central locking and self parking electric mirrors all working great .
Good job done and very pleased with the outcome  ;D ;D ;D
