Isn't it interesting how it's always people in low paid industries such as students and jobbing actor types who are calling to an end of wealth...

I suspect that as a very successful actress Maxine Peake is probably quite wealthy.    A champagne socialist I expect. 

Here is the offending passage in the article written by Maxine Peake and shared by Rebecca Long-Bailey that subsequently got her sacked...

 “Systemic racism is a global issue,” she adds. “The tactics used by the police in America, kneeling on George Floyd’s neck, that was learnt from seminars with Israeli secret services.” (A spokesperson for the Israeli police has denied this, stating that “there is no tactic or protocol that calls to put pressure on the neck or airway”.)

It seems pretty innocuous to me really and hardly anti semitic I'd have thought, but I expect that Starmer has been waiting for an excuse to get rid of her and probably only appointed her in the first place to appease the hard left/Momentum crowd.    I think it's a shame the Labour party faithful didn't vote for Long-Bailey as their leader, as she'd have been much better!

As Shadow Education Secretary she was probably colluding with the unions to disrupt the governments plans to reopen schools, completely blinded to the fact that closed schools make it harder for people to go out to work and earn a living to pay the rent.

Boris has scored a few points recently over Starmer at PMQ's on this issue.

I dont suppose she is blind to it at all. Marxists dont care about the damage they do to the lives of those they claim to be trying to help or represent. As long as they can blame the chaos on Capitalists, then it is all in the cause of the greater good.
