As I dont have caravan or tent......does the caravan site rent out static vans for weekends?

Also are dogs allowed?

Dogs are allowed but no statics.  IIRC Broocie has 2 spare tents up for grabs.

 :y

In 2, 3 or 4 person sizes....

Also still got one like this and for sale, if interested.

And can deliver to the site for free (provided funds are cleared etc!   ;)  )

If I remember correctly, they dont take bookings, but is a large site
I will be tenting, lots of space for tents and vans, and they rent out as well, presume they are bookable.
Have seen dogs there.

Can ring em next week if needs be for specifics

Shop, Cafe, Toilets coin-op showers all on site

Worth a call Jimbob and then we're sure we have a choice and can book somewhere.  Both are on my doorstep so I'll go with the flow 'cos I can (and do) visit both for a day out.

Just checked the website, and they dont take bookings

They also state they dont take groups, although last time I was there, a motorboke group was there.

I guess if lots of people turn up individually, you are not a group as such, ie not the scouts or guides etc.

Dogs are allowed though

Rental vans appear to be weekly, and not cheap.

Isn't it going to look a tad suspicious when a dozen or so blokes turn up at the site all driving the same sort of car :-? ;D

We are still happy to go where ever, as long as theres a tent pitch, showers and a flushing loo.  Anything else is a bonus!   :y

Agreed, we'll leave to locals to decide where.

I would say our requirements are:

Camping
Toilets
Showers
BBQs allowed
Groups of people, including family groups, allowed.

Hi there,

If there is anybody still requiring a tent for the meet then feel free to contact me.  I have a 4/6 man three section tent, I got it from a friend and I have never used it, don't know what it is like but should be good because said friend is v keen on camping.  Could also get Chopsdad to pick it up because he is in Carlisle aswell.  I wont be able to make it to the meet because that is my weekend working.  My numbers are 01228 540758 or 07723 356424. Probably have to leave a message as I always seem to miss phone calls.  One day I will turn up for something.

Thanks

Hey Bob (& Greg), good to see you can make it  :y

Has anyone made a decision where to stop in case we need to book?
