So post number 3 to be a pain my new omega is throwing up surprises the drivers window went down wouldn't cum up again. Bashed the switch worked again the switch on my door won't open the passengers one either so am I looking at a cheep fix of a switch or is it the dreaded window motor packing up  :(

Sounds more like the switch if it affects both windows. :y

Do the windows go up ok with the key fob, if so then that kind of answers your question.  ;)

Don't no if the key fob will do it as need to replace that but I can open the passenger window with that switch just not the drivers switch or the drivers window

They only close, not open.

Press and hold Lock for 3s, or with key in lock, hold in lock position for 3s.

In both cases, windows/sunroof will stop the moment you release button/key
