I'm not sure if this has been discussed already but how many Omegas have you owned? Which was/is your favourite and why?
I've had 9. My favourite was a Silver MV6 because it seemed much quicker than the others I had and it had lovely black leather.
-
One was quite enough, thank you.
-
Two (too many) ;D
One pre-facelift 2.5TD which was great, battered, do anything but returned awful mpg.. so I decided I might as well have a 3.2V6 and bought one of those for top dollar from Mr Budden, which did worse mpg ;D
-
Not as many as you ! :o ;D
I think its eight actually.

The more you have the more difficult it is to remember. ;D
-
Just one, but I had it for 11 years! :y
-
I had my beloved Silver Bullet for 14yrs. I've only had 5 Omegas in total, all 6 cylinder ones.
-
Three.....and I'm pleased to say none had 2 missing cylinders.
-
Just the one. And likely to stay that way, unless a nice 3.2 two-peddler shows up after we move.
-
Two, both fourpot.
-
six in total one had two cylinders missing ;D
-
Two first a p/f/l 3L Elite saloon bought as a short term stop gap and scrapped when I got another Senator. The second is another 3L Elite saloon this time a f/l[which I still have] bought because the Senator was written off and I couldn't find another for sale at the time.
-
A few....... 5th Amendment and all that :-X ;D
Probably easier to say what flavor I havent owned, never owned or driven a 2.5 or 2.2Dti, otherwise got the T Shirt for the rest.
My Favs are and were, 2.5TD CD Black Estate, a really good Workhorse, My first MV6, 3.0 Manual Estate, Leather with all the Toys, has moved on to a better life now with a SuperCharged V8 under the Bonnet, and lastly my 3.2 Manual Silver ExPlod Saloon with LPG, still have that but currently off the Road.
-

-
Had 3 here.
First was a 1998 Black 2.5 Auto CDX...nice car and served me well
Second a 1998 Jungle Green 2.5 Auto Elite..again served me well and both covered well in excess of 225k before being passed on
Current a 2003 Black 3.2 Auto Elite and great car and hope to keep for a further 2 years as good condition and tends to want for nothing as my work car
-
Two a 2.6 CDX manual saloon & a 2.2 CDX auto estate 2.6 was faultless the 2.2 was gutless & had the usual problems associated with the Desmonds.

First time I met you, you had a count up and decided you probably had 13 at that time, but you weren't completely sure. You had a bit of trouble remembering where you had left several of them. ;D
-

Likewise :y

About a dozen. I currently run six, all petrol and manual.
I began enjoying big Vauxhalls buying ex-police Senators at West Oxfordshire Motor Auctions (WOMA), Witney. They were lovely cars to drive, very fast, but with that distributor stuck just behind the cheese grater grille, prone to be bad starters unless run every day. I ran a fleet of 4 for a while. As the clutches failed I moved on to Omegas, which were available more cheaply on e-bay, and have a wonderful members' forum. Sadly, Omegas were last manufactured in 2004, and were not replaced by another RWD big saloon, so now we enthusiasts have to struggle on with 18 year old rust buckets or Jaguars.
-
At least 20 , to be fair most have been one's I've broken for parts so I guess there's bit's of them still floating around on members cars
-
Just this one, which I've had for 8 years.
I reckon it's got a couple of years left, before I move onto a Volvo(probably)
I no longer see RWD as a requirement, but if I'm going to own a big car it needs to be an estate

My Current First and only Omega is the Pinnacle of my families vauxhall owning history.
In 1993 I bought a 30K E reg Mk2 cavalier 1.6GL off my father in law, and foolishly sold it in 1997.
In 2000 I was GIVEN a 1992 J reg mk3 Cavalier 1.8L from the same man, and my wife used it until 2013
In 2001 I bought a 1.4 Lsi Mk3 astra saloon. which I wrote off in 2002,
and bought a 1.4LSi mk3 astra hatch,
Which was written off in 2004 which was replaced by a C Reg Mk2 cavalier 1.8e CDI auto costing £6.67 which was replaced about 6 months later by a 1.8e SRI mk2 cavalier saloon costing £40
Which was joined by a CalibrE mk2 cavalier 2.0SEH which threw it's conrods through the block on the Runcorn bridge
Eventually in 2008 the SRi was replaced by a mk3 astra 1.6 Arctic spi, which was written off in 2010.
Then in 2014 my son was given a mk4 astra W reg 1.6 16V Club by his grandad with 18K on the clock and in 2015 I bought a mk4 astra 54 reg 1.6 16V sport, with only 30K on the clock but it was so uncomfortable that in 2016 I replaced it with a 3.2 MV6 (auto) saloon. It has 195K on the clock now.
Intention is to keep adding 20K a year and keep it on the road as long as possible.
-

I`ve had just one,a MV6 saloon, which I had for four years before the tin worm got the offside front chassis leg and the ABS ECU failure saw it off to the scrappers.
-
Ive changed my mind. I think its nine, not eight. :-\ ;D..............still a long way behind Zirk though. ::)
-

3 manual Td estates, GREAT MOTORS, one other which was 2.2dti which i disliked immensly.so much so i left it with my mate to sell within 5 weeks of buying and repairing it lol ::)
-
Six so far. the first was a 2.6CD saloon in silver in which the engine died, then there was a 2.5 elite saloon in silver which was written of by a Frenchman in a rented mokka, then a 2.2 GLS estate in nocturno blue which I sold to a banger racer, then a 3.2 elite estate in the same nocturno blue which had numerous bricks launched at it by drug addicts and then sold, then a 2.5 elite estate which I still have at the moment in Persia red ? and finally the current one is a 2.6 elite estate in gold...
-
Have you considered moving?
-
..... then a 2.2 GLS estate in nocturno blue which I sold to a banger racer.....
That's some confession to make on the OOF! :o ;D
-
Just the one for me. Had it for 13 years now. Also a Senator, have had that for about 7 years.
-
I'd rather have sold it to someone who could either have fixed it or made use of the parts but he was the only one who turned up for it. and the 3.2 estate is still going in Bristol I think..

Are you aware of Einsteins definition of madness ? ::) ;D
