sunroof reset.

In close position, press and hold until sunroof fully closed.
Move to full tilt position, press and hold until sunroof fully tilted
Back to close, press and hold
Fully open, press and hold
Back to close, press and hold.

Yodel, my sunroof never did this. I mean I can only press the button when in close position. The sunroof will tilt only slightly and then close.

Other combinations in your post don't do anything, unfortunately.

However, I plugged in my laptop today and found a two-digit trouble code "18 - windows and sunroof automatic closure low voltage". The error comes up when I try to close the windows from a remote.

I've tried on a charged battery and tried whilst charging, but I don't think it's a battery issue.

Any ideas?

The NCDC's occasionally corrupt their eeprom.

If yours has done this - though normally is loses its pairing as well - it needs depairing, reprogramming, re-pairing, then retesting.
I have a second colour display that works for up to 1 minute and the displays “display safe”, but when it works I can see the same date issue.
Are there any tools available to play with EEPROM other than tech2?

Unfortunately, you need to listen to Radio 2 for a while. Should sort itself out  ;)

I’ve just been playing with it in the last hour or so. When I ‘unplug’ the battery, I can set time and date from the clock buttons (when the radio is of, ) and it says there until I turn the radio on. It then resets itself back to 21/05/2000. I don’t know how to reset all radio stations so I manually tuned into a non existent frequency and programmed 10 items on the list to that frequency ensuring the RDS was off on each station, on both U bands.

I even changed the band (disconnecting the battery each retry) and no matter what I do, the radio starts scanning all available FM stations, no matter what band I’m on,  and sets itself to Radio 4. I think this is when the date changes back to 2000.

I’ll tune in to Radio 2 and let’s see what happens.

At least time is correct. <facepam>

does the sunroof auto open/close on the switch? I know that if the windows have not been reset ie they won't auto open/close, then they won't close on the fob
Yes it does. The problem is with all the windows and the sunroof. After disconnecting the battery I did press and hold on the buttons to get the auto open/close feature back.

As I thought ... do as amba suggests and reset the roof

I always do that after the battery was disconnected. Never had a problem with closing windows from a remote after that.

Is the RDS working? That may be overriding it.
Yes RDS is working and I tried enabling/disabling the auto time adjustment and still nothing :(

I’ve disconnected the battery again but this time entirely whilst it’s charging.

Hi again,

A few weeks ago I noticed that I can't close the sunroof with the remote. It was always working and only recently noticed it wasn't working.

We did have a lot of rain in the last couple of months. Could this be related?

Hi all,

In the past I have had issues changing time manully as if you left it for a period of time, time was off by a few minutes. The only way for me to change time manually was to disconnect the battery for 20 minutes or so. I had to do this a couple of weeks ago and I was able to update time, but for some reason the date stays at 21/05/2000 and can't change it. When I try to adjust it, as soon as I press OK, I can see the date resets itself to 5/2000...

The date does change itself, i.e., it will change to 22/05/2000 tomorrow etc.

What else can I do? Is there any way to reset it? i.e., the radio stations always stay on the list. Maybe there's a "factory reset" option somewhere?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Bloody hell, did you manage to put it together afterwards with no issues?

Depends what you find when you take it apart, they have 3 or 4 soldered joints which can fail.

Is this what I'm expecting to see?

My dad said he soaked his sensor in a petrol based degreaser it works now. Could it just be dirty? Perhaps I could use a contact cleaner used in electronics, i.e. potentiometers. Maybe we can even use a potentiometer :D

How can they justify charging £200 for something like this....

The electrical part is the same front and rear just the brackets are different.
Have you tried repairing yours, they are easy to disassemble.
John.

How can this be repaired? I get these error occasionally. Last time I asked, the price was well over £200.

Interesting to see a LHD bonnet layout. Brake master cylinder obviously above brake pedal, but power steering reservoir in usual place and presumably everything else; maybe wiper layout reversed.

You're right, it is LHD, imported from Germany.

Shackend, the end on the right does go somewhere, the end on the left is lose.

Enceladus, Yes, very stiff, like a plastic tube.
Thank you, that's reassuring :)

Omega General Help / What is this hose? Y32SE
« on: 07 February 2018, 11:46:13 »
Hi all,

After I replaced the rocker cover gaskets yesterday, I'm putting my Y32SE back together, however, I don't remember unplugging this particular hose. The end marked with orange arrow looks like it was never plugged in to anything, AND I found a dead spider inside it. The picture was taken before I took it all off and to me it looks like it was just laying there  ::)

Is this some kind of air con exhaust pipe or something? Do I just leave it like that?
