To find a decent engine now.

Thanks for all the advice. I have a week off work in nine weeks. Enough time to find engine clutch spigot bearing etc.

Thanks again.

Here ya go.  :y http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=142594.0

Im sure it will be the same. 3.0 ECU etc. shouldn't be difficult to find. Not many people will be looking for one either so I wouldn't pay too much money for one.  ;)

Edit. One here for 20.  :y

From memory - the flywheels are interchangeable, but the spigot bearing on the end of the crank will need swapping for your manual one.

Even the scientists still have to call it a theory, because much as they would like to, they cant actually say they have proved it, so cant call it factual.  :)

Of course, someone could easily provide another link to a set of "facts" which say the complete opposite.  :)
Wheres Nickbat when you need him ?  ;D

Do modern Mercs still have the oil filter at the top of the engine? My w201 does and my w202 also did.
It makes me wonder why all the others don't design their engines the same way.

Fair enough. I allow myself 5 - 10 minutes per week of the BBC for the same reasons.  ;D

I fitted a pair of standard spec Sachs to the rear of my 3.2 elite (on the advice of DG) and find them perfect.
Not quite as soft as elite spec, but not remotely harsh.

Last time I bothered to read anything on the subject (about 5 years ago), the ice at one of the poles was getting shallower and the ice at the other pole was thickening by a similar amount.
Maybe Zirk has a point.  :)
