Has been stabbed multiple times while carrying out a Constituency surgery in Southend.
More evidence that the world has gone mad.  :(

General Discussion Area / Monza F1. SPOILER.
« on: 12 September 2021, 16:21:07 »
Imo Verstappen deliberately took Hamilton out of the race because he knew Hamilton was probably going to win the race.
His rear wheel landed on Hamiltons head and could easily have broken his neck.
Disgustingly, he didnt even so much as glance over to see if Hamilton was ok as he walked away from the scene.
A hateful, dangerous, arrogant little shit, who should be facing a long ban, but of course it wont happen.  >:( >:( >:(

General Car Chat / Jag SUV (F Pace ?)
« on: 07 August 2021, 12:33:25 »
Brother in law rang me last night and said he was thinking of buying a Range Rover but now prefers the look of the Jag equivalent.
He knows nothing about cars, and I know nothing about modern Jags, but he said he might opt for a 2.0 rather than the 3.0 and about 3 or 4 years old.
I assume that would be an F Pace ?
Anyone know what they are like ? Any particular problem areas etc. ?

Anyone have anything good to say about it now ?  :)

The final episode of the (pretty tedious) programme he has been starring in all this week on ITV has been pulled.
His BAFTA award has been suspended.
His BFF and previous co star has made a statement of support to his accusers, empathising with all their suffering etc. etc.
Wtf ever happened to innocent until proven guilty. He has been tried, found guilty and probably had his life ruined in 24 hours, in a trial trial by media.
I despair.  :(

General Car Chat / Swarfega or not ?
« on: 18 March 2021, 20:06:39 »
Question for y,all. What hand cleaner do you use after working on the oily bits ?
I used to use green Swarfega, but now theres orange as well, and all kinds of other products.
Swarfega is getting bloody expensive too for what it is, so looking for alternatives that work well.

General Discussion Area / Politicising murder.
« on: 11 March 2021, 19:57:31 »
Just to show how low Politicians will sink in pushing their agendas, and give Opti a pink fit......

After the murder of Sarah Everard, Baroness Jones (Green party) has called for a 6pm curfew for men to be implemented in this country !

https://order-order.com/2021/03/11/watch-green-party-peer-calls-for-6pm-curfew-for-men/

Of course these morons also support the right of gender, self indentification, so its going to be difficult to implement.  ::)

General Car Chat / Want a second hand bargain ?

He also has a Senna McLaren and Mansells Championship winning Williams he might part with if the price is right.

General Car Chat / £8.77 !
« on: 17 January 2021, 21:28:39 »
Sat at work with time on my hands, so decided top update my spreadsheet on Omega maintenance.
Not including purchase price, fuel, VED, or insurance my total spend to date, during four and a half years ownership has been £2991.63.
So if I spend another £8.77 it will reach the magic £3000 !  ::) ;D
On the one hand its madness spending that on an old Omega with almost 190k on the clock.
On the other hand some of it would have been spent maintaining any car, and its actually a pretty inexpensive four and a half years worth of motoring by todays standards.
Im sure Lord Opti loses that amount every few months in depreciation on his Jaaaaag.
At the end of the day its a lovely old thing to drive, as I was reminded when I drove it to work tonight, on its new front tyres.
Still brings a smile to my ugly mug when I drive it, so worth every penny to me.  :)
I still have a (pretty short) to do list, but it shouldnt involve much spending now. More about a bit more paint improvement / renovation and minor stuff like that.

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / NCDC "no magazine"
« on: 04 January 2021, 21:45:46 »
Really wanted to play my new copy of Dark side of the moon on the way to work today. Ejected the CD magazine, put the disc in and reinserted it.
The Magazine kept popping back out, as though whatever retains it has broken. Sometimes it will stay in, but the display still says "No magazine".
Is it fixable ?

Tia.

General Car Chat / Thanks to Amba.
« on: 12 December 2020, 16:16:12 »
I posted a wanted ad for a Diff mount last week .Monday morning he posted one to me and wouldnt take any money, even for postage.
I hope I dont embarrass him with this, but just wanted to say he is a real gent, and I owe him one.
Of course Royal Snail did their best to scupper his act of kindness by only delivering it this morning, and now the weather is crap, but I dont need the Omega urgently.
Just get nervous when Im relying on a pile of plastic cardboard and recycled French beer cans, cobbled together by lazy horse murdering Communists as my only means of transport.  ;D
Anyway, many thanks Amba.  :y

As above, need a diff mount which still has the rubber part reasonably intact if anyone has one lying around please.
Quite urgent as the car is off the road until I source one and the MOT has now also ran out. Need to get the car back on the road asap.
