Boxster has been sat on the drive for 6 months with not much fuel in the tank. I fire it up for ten minutes once a fortnight and it runs fine.
I suspect the fuel I had in the can was already contaminated, but will never know.

Just read and cleared the code on the C1. P0420 - cat efficiency bank 1.
Could be a o2 sensor ? could need a cat ?  :-\

Half a dozen screws to remove the grill.  Disconnect battery, then two (allen bolts if my memory serves) under the airbag to remove it, then one large nut holding the steering wheel on.  bang the underside of the wheel each side in turn with your hands to free it. Careful it doesnt suddenly free itself from the shaft and whack you in the face.
Best to leave the nut loose but still on the shaft until the wheel is loose,
Then take the £200 for the rest and sell the grill and wheel on here or ebay.  :y

Just to (hopefully) finish up this one.
I have deliberately run the fuel level down to very low and left it parked up overnight for two nights.
This was expected to make it play silly buggers again, and I would then drain the tank, but it has run perfectly, so have now brimmed the tank.
I can only assume the can of petrol I tipped in the tank just before the problems started, was contaminated in some way and has now been completely used up.

On our most recent cruise, we heard that some old chap had been taken seriously ill so when we saw the Ambulance in port from our balcony we thought it was him being taken away. There was also an old lady sat crying in her wheelchair on the dock so we assumed it was her husband being taken away. We then heard that the old lady was nothing to do with the old chap, and that she’d been thrown off the cruise ship for being violent towards her own family and other passengers.  ;D
If ever I went on a cruise, knowing my luck, I would be couped up on a floating hotel with people like that.

I contemplated a cruise, but the more I think about it, the more I know its not for me.  I mean, I hate hotels with a passion.  A hotel you can't really escape from all day, every day, is just a prison ;D

My thoughts exactly.  :y

And all but the very early 3.0 plenums are the same as the 3.2 if my memory serves.

Just went online to sort out insurance for the Boxster. Ended up going with Tesco via Topcashback.
£182 and £45 cashback to come.
Got to the point of paying and then got the Natwest authentication message, which is normal.
Waited for the code they normally text to my phone but it never came.
Phoned the number provided when I clicked on the help icon, which turned out to be the fraud team. ???
Then waited for half an hour to speak to someone, before hanging up, as the transaction had timed out anyway, so I need to start all over gain. FFS !  >:(
Presumably will need to go back into TCB site first or cashback will be lost.  ::)
Technology is a wondeful thing...............when it works as it should.

Been paying £195 a month here. Currently £800+ in credit. British Gas should let me know imminently how much its going to drop.

I got done for speeding in my first car. A Viva HB, which iirc was around 50bhp.
I genuinely wasnt speeding but two coppers lying, meant there was no point me arguing about it.
I got away with a hell of a lot of other stuff they never caught me for, so swings and roundabouts I suppose.  ::)
