The most I would have been willing to pay for it would have been £1500. I thought it might reach two grand.
Someone who either knows exactly whats wrong with it has bought it, or someone who knows how much they can sell the bits for.

People are bidding silly money on it. Auction fever I suppose.  ::)

The plastic / cardboard Fr***h hatchback is due next week and the Omega a couple of weeks later. Could be some expense on the horizon.
Omega needs front discs / pads, which will be done before the test. Hoping it will be ok otherwise.
The Fr***h thing - god knows. It creaks rattles and knocks all the time, but I suspect its been like that from new.

The only example I found of the same problem online, was on a US forum.
After much messing around and pulling out of hair, the owner found the loom at the rear of the car had been damaged by a bodyshop.  :y

I have dug a bit deeper into this. The Car does indeed have VVT.
I think Mr DTM could well be in line for a cigar on this one, as almost everything has been tried, and the only sensible suggestions have come from people who know about these cars, suggesting some kind of wiring fault.
Could be a needle in a haystack, but depending how high the bids go, I might just have a bid on it.
Depends how brave Im feeling when the auction is ending.  ;D

A flat 6 not a V6. What are the possible causes of all three cylinders reading 120psi while the other shows 180psi.
Car has a constant cam sensor fault code, despite cam sensor being replaced. Seller seems to think the cam sensor the cam sensor fault code could cause the ECU to alter the cam timing, thus giving low compression.
I dont see how thats possible when the cams are driven by chains from a shaft, which is driven by another chain from the crankshaft.
Seller seems very genuine by the way. Just maybe a bit out of his depth.

Im sure its mighty impressive to drive, but imo half the power with half the weight is much more fun.

One of the few advantages of getting old is cheap insurance. I also didnt bother with stuff such as insurance or even a licence when riding bikes in my teens in the 70,s. It was seen as a sign of weakness, and probably meant you were gay.  ::) ;D
Then in 79 at the end of my teens I paid £636 for third party insurance for a car. That was a lot of money then.  ::)
Tried to stay reasonably legal since then. although its only in the last decade Ive started to accept that speed limit signs might be just more than pointless road furniture.  :)

Performance isnt top of my list of priorities these days, but having said that, 250bhp in one of those should be fun when Im in the mood.  :y

New coil pack arrived. Fitted it, turned the key, and its purring like a kitten again.  8) :)
Need to acquire front discs (already have new GM pads)before MOT in December and thats it. No more spending out on it........................famous last words.  ::) ;D

What about the new toy ???

Didnt happen. Too many red flags. I have another one in my watchlist at the moment. A 3.2 S no less. Just waiting to hear answers to a few questions from the seller. before deciding if / how much to bid.
