And this one....  (sad bastards whose surname is DTM need not apply ;D)

As well as the fuse, the plug housing isn't big enough, even though there are insulators on the pins the plug housing shouldn't be so tight against them so you can touch them with your finger and thumb.

I'm shocked at the prices Hellfrauds sell things for I went to get an oil filter and air filter for my dads Rover and they wanted £21.00 they didn't even know which ones were the correct ones either!

Went to the local motor factors and got the correct ones for £10.40 the brand is Wix which I believe is of reasonable quality.

Even with a Hellfrauds trade card I struggle to believe they'd be half price.

Told my Dad to buy a Vauxhall if he carries on driving then at least I can buy the parts at sensible prices.

Question is, if Project TB2 finds a new home what will project TB3 be?

run your tyre pressure between 32 and 34 all round

running them at 36 will cause your tyres to wear in the centre
i run mine at 34 and have no problems at all :y

Yes i am aware of this, 235 45 17s do tend to wear in the middle anywyay i am told, and the previous set did just that and seemed to be set at 32 going by the average of all four when i got the car.

I am not too worried if they wear prematurely, as a want to get rid of them.

I'm sure the manual says you can run them higher than 34 when you have 2 passengers / boot is loaded.....

Have to say mine seems better at 34 compared to 32.

ive got ZV-3's on the back of my car to replace my Nankangs and i will be getting more zv-3's for the front they seem a very good tyre and havent let me down yet nice and grippy in the wet and dry :y

Kumho are the worst cheap tyre
Strangely, I've found Avon ZV3s to be the worse tyre I've ever had on Omega  :-/

Got to agree with that, got some on the back of this one, can't wait to get some decent Sport 9090's on it.

Didn't see your car there!

Nearly bought a brand new 3.0 Alternator (more reliable than the ones fitted to the 3.2) for £30 but changed my mind.

we paid 2k for our 3.0 Elite Facelift, colour sat nav, bose, cream leather, full service history, recent belt and autobox fluid change. only thing its missing from 3.2 version listed on ebay is the parking sensors but on Estates who needs them.

Ours had 70k miles on too.

Sorry, anyone paying 8k for that example is a fool!

No. They just don't know any different !
Cars are bought from dealers. Servicing is done by garages (some folk only know Main Stealers :o).  Many folk just about know how to re-fuel.

I just don't understand it, Omegas are great cars, but if i had 8k to spend and was after an Estate, i would be looking at BMW 530d Estates, they will hold their value much better, pay 8k for that Omega now, 2 years and 50k miles later it will be worth less than 1k!

True but no doubt there's a BMW forum much like this who's members would pay only 5K for a BMW you'd pay 8K for.... Knowledge is power and all that!

Not been serviced by a VX dealer..... Blue coolant in the expansion tank.

According to the manual I have it's either timed or rain sensitive, no mention of the variable thumb wheel, however both of my manuals are from 2002 onwards vehicles.

rain sensing wipers aren't all they are cracked upto be i had them on a 406 and they were either going too fast or not fast enough

They seem to be better implemented on Omega's than other cars i've driven TBH.
