When you look at the windscreen from outside is there a clear spot in the blacked out area around the rear view mirror area.

Should add that most 2001 Elites that i've see do not have rain sensing so I would imagine that it's the standard timed delay.

Both cars have original GM screens.

I know that if you have a heat reflective screen you have to change the solar sensor settings for the climate with Tech II.

Rain sensing wipers seem to be less sensitive on this Omega from the last one which I prefer as they only seem to come on when really required.

Not sure if the sensitivity can be adjusted by Tech II?

Can you remove the overread with Tech2?

Speedo's should over-read by a set margin, far more preferable than under-reading from a legal point of view.

If you use the Tech II calibration check for the speedo it should read +3Mph above actual across the whole range IIRC.

If it's the sound i'm thinking of (bit like a howling type sound from a belt) then it's probably fine - all three of my Vectra B's with X20XEV's made that sound.

or buy a Ford Focus similar money better reliability :y

Definately would not agree with the latter statement!

Dont get any real issues wth the Veccy C and would have sold better if it had not been called a Vectra!

Is it true the 3.0 diesel is good to tune? Read on some VeccyC forums, it was detuned cause it was ripping autoboxes apart, same as 3.2.

Don't help when it's spinning driving the front wheels!

Nice little project to install it into a more deserving RWD chassis though  :D

Is it worth changing the fuel filter first before condeming the pump? Diesel pump failure is usually write off time for a car thats more than 5 years old. :(

If it is the pump you could try someone like this:-

He he....

There was a good loud bang to which er indoors said, what was that?. I calmly replied, its a rear spring breaking.......followed shortly after by tinkle noise as the broken section fell out!

Still, just sourced KYB springs for 26 quid each plus vat  :y

I could sell you one 60K Elite spring complete and one not so complete... I wouldn't charge you the full retail for a set of Elite springs of course  ::) ;D

The xxxxx listed is a dodgy one with ripped off software i'm afraid... therefore you won't be able to obtain updates for it.

It also shows a very old version of the software.

My personal preference is for the Dunlop Sport 9090, seems to suit the Omega well IMHO.

Usually there's a 'Caution Power Sounder' sticker on the plastic cowling over the radiator when fitted.
