I would say that sometimes (rarely) conditions do warrant their use....

.......  why not make them automatic.  ......
Vauxhall have at least made a step in the right direcetion & made them relay latched so they automatically switch off when you turn the main lights off. It does prevent people driving around weeks after the last bit of morning mist with 'em still on.
As have most cars since the late 80s ;)

I think that all Omega owners should seriously consider hurting (not really obviously) people that drive around with their fog lights on, just because there was a bit of fog 16 years ago.  >:(

In the last couple of days, I have spend half of my daily commute along the M6 with my lights on full beam to dazzle the idiot in front of me with their rear fog lights on.

So people, if you are an offender, please switch them off when there are other cars around you :y. There's no need and the Highway Code stipulates that. Plus, you never know, the next person that you piss off, might be me - and I'm big and mean  >:( >:( >:(

We've had this conversation before and the consensus of opinion was that they're a good thing :-? ....... for some reason! >:( I think they should all be removed - America for example manages quite well without them!
i sure the highway code says use if visibility (whether fog or rain/spray) less than 100yrds.  Some stupid bint turned hers on the other day through the slightest mist  >:(

On my travels I listen to Radio 2 for their traffic Info and I have heard Theboy and now Markey Mark mentioned are they our members I wonder :)

Don't listen to Radio 2 so can't help on that one, would'nt have thought they'd be radio 2 listeners ::)
I remember the depressing day I realised I was enjoying the tunes on the wireless, and looking down at the display in horror to realise it was Radio 2  :-[

My '93 Astra passed it's MOT with flying colours this year.  When the brakes were serviced the rear drums were seized on, shoes falling apart, cylinders leaking & front dics badly wartped & pitted.  Just because it stopped 'efficienty' it passed.

Oh yes, and this was at a Vauxhall main dealer  :o

(I know I should know better than let them get in that state.....)
With the skill and expertise you have in the family, why don't you do such stuff yourself?
