Omega General Help / Re: oil change. Very low miles.
« on: 15 April 2013, 19:01:29 »
Despite what some are saying, it **MUST** be changed.  The low miles turn the oil slightly acidic, and it will also trap a lot of moisture. As I'm sure you can imagine, this isn't great for the engine.
convinced..will change. I suppose at 16 it still deserves to be treated as if it was 2.

Thanks.

We have done less than 1000 miles this year since the last oil change. Do I need to do it again or will it be ok for another year.

I am told it needs both joints for the passenger side. They have lasted 16 yrs 140000 mls so they have done well I think.
VX parts it is then. Looks like a call to Andyc.

if I remember correctly, Opti bought Goodyear Eagle F1s (asym 2) around 90 £ size 235 45 17..

ps: efficient grips dont do well in tests..

.....and they are brilliant. Check out the independent customer reviews, Mr Entwood.
I put F1's on a Saab 9-5.  A brilliant tyre. Do not yet know about the life span.

Any brand better than others and must it be sae 90?
Thanks,
Dave

Best option is to put genuine GM diff oil, experienced to be the most suitable and simply the best solution  :y And if needed, LSD additive from dealers also  :y

local dealer tells me they no longer do diff oil for the Omega.
