Thanks, I do have grandad rights...just!!   ;D ;D ;D ;D

I think I will just be in limits then for the weight, what about the beam (width) and the length limits I'm sure there is a maximum somewhere.  :-/

I probably wouldent trailor it everywhere but mainly to take it home over winter for maintenance and occasionally taking it somewhere new for exploration.

What is the largest size adn weight of a boat I can legally tow with my omega?

I am investigating 3 boats I would like to build at some point and one of them has a beam (width) of 2.82m or 9'3".  Not sure exactly what the weight is but it is more than 2500Lb or 1136kg.

Will I have to get a bigger car if I want to trailor this mama?  :(

Last night at around 9ish i was sat at some traffic lights waiting for green & i noticed a car sat waiting when their side was on green, then when their lights changed to red they drove through, ok i thought, my lights changed to green so i started to follow said driver (at a distance) who was braking heavily for no reason then speeding up, braking, speeding up & wandering from curb to white line.
He took the left lane to take the third exit from the roundabout, which is basically turning right on to the A38 towards Derby, the driver speeded up on the slip road, then braked heavily, speeded up.
We got onto the A38 & for no reason at all braked heavily & slowed to 35mph, there was just me & the other driver, at this point handsfree was in ear & i was onto the Derbyshire police, because his driving was like that of someone on drink or drugs, he then speeded up to around 50mph before pulling into a layby, the driver sat for 15ish mins with the engine running, headlights on & his indicater flashing whilst i gave a complete description of their vehicle & driving to the police.
The operator ask me to stay with said vehicle until the police arrived, the police didn't arrive & the driver pulled out of the layby, so i waited for him to get a good distance before i gave pursuit again, at this point i was about 1/4 of a mile behind & giving chase, the driver then decided to speed upto 115mph, no probs, i still kept my 1/4 of a mile distance while still talking to police & giving a full description of his where abouts, the operator said there was a marked car on its way, as we approached the Kilburn slip road the operater said you should see a marked car very soon, the marked car was on the slipway waiting for us & as soon as the driver saw the poilce he slowed right down to about 60mph with me just a little behind him, the marked car came past me with blue's & two's & pulled over the driver into a layby. The operator said thank you for assistance & i went on my way.
I would love to know the reason for his very bad driving, i was given a crime ref No, do you think if i enquire in a few days they'll tell me?

I had a similar thing happen to me once but the pissed up b"£$% got all the way home.

You can do a request under the freedom of Information act, quote the crime number and they will have 30 days to reply.  They wont give you names but they can tell you what happened.

I just read this article on the BBC news website and could not beleive it!!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/beds/bucks/herts/7312650.stm

Plans for the first car-share lane on the M1 have been dropped because they wouldent generate enough income in favour of other forms of traffic management.

rather robbin gits

And yes it is taking the piss.  I know that its a bank holiday and all that but you're due to work and prob getting extra pay too then you should pull your thumb out of your arse... :y

Just had the wife on the phone who was going to suprise me and take her driving test tomorrow.  She's american and has been driving for 20 odd years yet she still has to take a full driving test one year after becoming a UK resident, but thats  a separate rant.

She booked a double lesson with the AA for Friday last week ao that she can learn the finer points of our pathetic driving test.  The instructor did a no-show so the wife called them up who were very apologetic, checked address ok blah blah.  Well the fooker has failed to turn up again and she is quite obviously starting to brick it.

I feel like driving home to lamp this guy when he turns up.  Unless they can get her an instructor tomorrow she's going to go into the test blind and will probably fail it.

Useless idiots!!   >:( >:(

Is there no way of rigging up something to read the raw data to then send on to be analysed by the Tech2?

Just thinking outside the box (no pun intended)
The Tech2 does the raw read, it can also do some analysis, but using TIS to view the data is often easier...

I stand corrected..... thats a bit naff really, if I were God I would make all cars able to speak and say what is wrong..  ::) ::)

A bit like the Maestro Vanden Plas?  8-)

Mate of mine had one of them. Unless he belted the dashboard with a windscreen scraper it kept harping on about being low on fuel. On one occasion, just as he was pulling out of a petrol station. Then it started moaning about the brakes requiring attention, so he ignored it, of course - until the brakes failed. :o

 ;D

Kevin

Oooops  :o :o :o
