not worth doing cat6 unless you have the right equipment for the terminations.  If you are inclined to replace it then consider a UV stable shielded cat5 otherwise if it is working then why play with it?

Just wait until it gets nicked.  They are using low loaders these days. >:(

Looks very nice Jimmy, I hope you enjoy it!  I certainly enjoyed the Leaf I had a few years ago.  Strange that the new one has no steering wheel rake adjustment as the one I had did.  That said it is a minor niggle I had with the Ranger too, maybe there is something else going on which is making it unattractive for manufacturers to include it :-\

The i-pace would work for you all year round so long as the right foot wasn't too heavy.

True .. but £64k pays for a lot of petrol to put in the BMW .. or a nice Ranger Raptor and £20k of Diesel :)

How's the Ranger, btw?

Great!  Funnily enough, fewer idiots now try and cut me up and the light bar does a handy job of both turn night into day and serving as a communication device  ::)

Easily catered for when planning your journey though.

Depends - I would very much begrudge a stop for 30 minutes, half way home, if it were my commute..

How far is your commute? :o

I did see a chart of winter ranges a couple of months a go with typically 20-50% range reduction due to heating & lights & lithium batteries having reduced cold weather capacity. Something to bare in mind if you get a milk float.

Easily catered for when planning your journey though.  I took the older leaf on trips to Sheffield and Tenby without running out of juice by pre-planning my stops and charge points.  It had a claimed range of 128 miles, I mananged 102 at best, used 80 for planning purposes.  The i-pace would be a significant difference though and it is a dream to drive.

The 3 litre engine is sublime, not tried the newer jag 2.0s but i have heard that with the newer gearbox it is pretty good.  Depends if you want better economy and something that will still put a smile on your face.

Are you feeling under the weather, Mr Gaffer? :)

Nope, i had the 2.7 XF and found the 3.0 a vast improvement on what was already something pretty good.  If you are comparing it to other jags with their larger petrol engines then sure it is 'orrid guv.  But for a weasel i thought it was very good, especially on long trips.  I took the 2.7 from Hohne to Frankfurt once starting the journey at midnight. Normally a 4+ hour drive we arrived at 0230 much to Mrs G's annoyance.  I never understood why she was peed off because she slept the whole way including the 30 minutes spent at 155mph.

When walking between the car and the beach I often walk in public with 2 knives strapped to my wetsuit while carrying 2 pretty big spearguns.  In Brighton that can be a couple of miles through the town centre.  Nobody bats an eyelid.

Stranger things have happened in Brighton. ;)

Are you speaking from experience there Mr W?  ::)

You're the one who chooses to walk the streets there dressed like a gimp. ;)

I see you were stalking me around brighton again.  We've talked about this ::)

Speaking of the Bini Cooper S ...

It got punted up the arse last night by a little old lady in a Honda Jazz when I was stopped at traffic lights  ::) ::) Rear bumper cover is pushed in, but boot floor is sound, boot opens and closes etc, damage is almost confined to the plastic cover itself.

Called Admiral this morning and, without even seeing the car, their first response was: "Well, it's a 2007 car, so we should probably just look to write it off and give you market value"

And my neck hurts. :'(

Sorry to hear that. :(

On the plus side, it's an opportunity to buy a "not a Bini" to replace it. :y

Every cloud...

Indeed, one less on the road and all that.... ::)

I agree with the glider, there are places where the shark skin would be very useful but I would think that on the underside of the wing it would be counter-productive.  But then I am armed with a little knowledge in this area and I am far from being an expert.

Have you seen the ships where they push air bubbles under the hull to separate it from the water resulting in significant reductions in fuel consumption.

If I hadn't worked in IT and Cyber I think I would have worked in engineering somewhere.  Fascinating stuff!
