Where is this fuse?
- is it in the fusebox under the steering wheel?
- or in the relay box next to the battery?
- or in the plastic box on top of the battery?
- or somewhere else?

Hi
The fuse is under steering wheel. But
Glad to say we fixed the heating and there is no tripping out of the lpg now. But 5 miles into journey leaving the ga rage we got a miss fire on lpg struggling up hills and on tick over but perfect on petrol. Any suggestions pleas.
It's an omega 2.6 v6 . Please

Which fuse under the steering wheel, they are all numbered.

I have a strange feeling the original install is a bit bodged :(

It's so annoying I love the omega but as soon as you fix one thing there's another issue.
I not sure what they did to fix the heater tripping fuse 17 and gas system not working. They said something about one injector being an issue put all back together. All working gas heaters etc no fuses going.... then 5 miles into journey home and get miss fire lumpy on gas.
Get up this morning run fine no electric issues and gas kicks in and starts misfiring.  So switched to petrol working good. Take it to an lpg expert who wants 450 pound to put new ecu and injectors because his system.can't read the computer in car. SO CONFUSING WHEN I HAVEN'T A CLUE WHAT'S GOING ON.sorry for ranting but I am little enoyed now going around in circles.
I appreciate any help. My Internet not good cuts in and out and I can't get alerts on here but will keep looking in for any replies. Thanks again  :-\

Sounds like the new lpg garage is talking some sense...

Basically it sounds like, as suspected, the original installation was royally screwed up. That figure suggests ripping out the current lpg ecu and wiring and replacing it with a system that this garage knows.

If you were to bring it here, or to any of the OOF mechanics,  they would probably do the same and fit a Stag system... these are a proven, reliable lpg set up on the Omega, and what the bulk of those with lpg are running.

The plumbing side of the lpg is most likely ok, otherwise the bill would be alot nearer £1,500 :-\

Not so much the ecu, but more the way it has been joined to the car wiring ;)

My wiring diags show F17 as the horn, and nothing else.

When you say the climate goes off, is that the panel goes dead, or just no heat?

Did he say what make of ECU he proposes to fit? Is it the same make as the one already fitted?

It isn't clear to me whether he couldn't connect to your ECU due to a fault or because he doesn't posses the appropriate equipment.

Are you able to take a photograph of the ECU? or is there a manufacturers name on the petrol/LPG change over switch ?

I read it as unfamiliarity with what was installed :-\ certainly be easier to remove a botched installation, repair damage and start afresh with a familiar system than spend similar time/money trying to rectify the botched installation in order to make it work...

But Andy is right, a picture or several would enable appropriate guidance on the most suitable approach ;)

It could be as simple as the original installer taking the live feed from downstream ofa random fuse without thought rather than from the primary feed and fusing it independently. Which also makes you wonder where the ecu has ended up :-\

Hi again
Thanks for replies hubby says the ecu is out of sight. And under all panels for window
The lpg fitter used a mirror to find it. He tried to connect with new softwear but still couldnt connect. Says never had an issue with omega lpg before. Believes the lpg system is loveto .
The fuse sorry was 4th in from drivers side top row no 29.
But this issue is now sorted just strange that only got misfire 5 miles into the fix. Only on lpg
Hubby asks if it could be plugs. Please so sorry for delay reply. Internet connection slow
So grateful.for advice.

Lpg is more demanding on the plugs, and certainly, if you don't know when they were last changed then it certainly won't hurt...

Lovato... need a the details from the ecu, ie what model, to be able to try and gain information about it... do you know who fitted it?

Seen an ad for single day fitting from £645... which speaks volumes and might explain most of your problems :-\

Thanks for reply again.
If hubby can get ecu details will let you know.  No bought the car fitted. But appears that  the fit was botched as suggested.  So hubby going to change plugs if he can
He's always been great with cars. But the omega giving him few challenges lol. I will repost with ecu info when.possible.  thanks again very much  🙄
