I've strangely never wanted one of these even back in the day, but there can't be many around as they were so unloved.  ::)

They were quick if you could keep them in a straight line but they don't half look dated these days.

That o series engine reminds me of my Ital <shudder>.

As a plus point, it does still have some kind of floor pan  ::)

Floors aren't too bad to fix, what you really need to check are the windscreen corners, door hinge pillars and inner-wing to bulkhead metal work. I have most of that to do this summer. If it has a sunroof the rear roof-skins sweat around the rear rails, and that's a horrible repair. The rear roof pillars rot too.

Front panels are horrifically expensive to buy, and getting wings that fit is a real crapshoot.

The last Capri (either a 2 or 3) I looked inside was fairly recently. It'd been stripped for either a brave man to restore or as a donor car, but where the floor pans should have met the inner sills, there was just fresh air. From a few feet away & with one eye shut, it looked quite reasonable  ;D

I thought the front looked a bit ropey.. the back appears to be more duct tape than metal! ;D

"For restoration" must mean "Just enough left to recognise what it used to be"
