It gets worse. The poor woman was on question time last week in Barnsley, and a conservative councillor tweeted after the show that people on benefits are obese because they eat too many pizzas!

Yes, I only noticed Tiggers post afterwards, and he makes a good point. Unfortunately, there aren’t enough characters in a tweet to make a good point, so he sounded like he was saying something totally different.

100 years ago wealthy people were fat and poor people were thin. However, because there is so much cheap high calorie crap about it is often the poor who are more prone to obesity in the UK.

The insane thing is that it is cheaper to buy fresh veggies, a big bag of spuds or rice and cheap cuts of meat to cook good food from scratch, than buy all that processed shite that people eat. 

I've had this conversation many times. Trouble is it's easier to pay through the nose for some crap. Also, just remember we have kids going to school hungry, because their parents are too lazy or thick or drunk (or all of them) to give them a decent breakfast. Just a good breakfast cereal or eggs would do it.

Ah, but schools now have "Breakfast Clubs" for those parents who are lazy have other things to do. 

In fairness though, these clubs are a good idea for parents who have to go to work early and genuinely cannot do breakfast with the kids and get them to school for 0845

Have noticed a big rise in mobility scooters with fairly youngish people using them most appear overweight , this must be an indication of how people will suffer in the years to come healthy eating is not exspensive but unfortunately people will go for convenience .

I was amazed when I learnt that there are families that will routinely have Donor Kebabs for tea, and get them delivered from the kebab shop! 

Donor Kebabs for me were something I ate when absolutely shitfaced at the end of a night out, and I hadn't found anything tastier to get my laughing gear around!
