I've had an email from QHotels confirming my reservation at the The Cambridge Belfry from 19/12/17 to 22/12/17 and thanking me for my deposit of £184. 

Of course I have made no such reservation, and in the email there is a link to check the reservation and the total cost. Luckily I decided to check the hotel website first, where there is a message warning people not to open the link in such emails! 

So beware as I'm sure this one has caught a lot of people!    I nearly fell for it! 

I'm now running a full scan on my laptop before checking my bank accounts!

Yes, plenty of them around from speeding & parking tickets with .zip files containing details malware to bogus flight and hotel reservations. If you are not expecting an email from a trusted source always bin it.
