I don't care.I want one.  :P ;D They were circa £75k when new. One can be picked up now for between £2 - £3k.
If it turns out to be a money pit, its a pita, but not the end of the world.
The biggest worry with them is the ABC suspension. Theoretically its very expensive when it goes wrong, and it often does.
However, just like the Omega, there is plenty of useful info online for avoiding great expense and doing things properly for a lot less money.
Oh, I never suggested head ruling the heart, that would be boring.

As long as you understand you're buying a poorly bolted together kit car built from unconsidered parts bins, which sadly is where MB are today, and the past 25yrs  :'(

The notable exception being the W/C140...

Possibly the best car ever produced.

No exceptions. Sad, but true.

My old C250TD. (S202) was a great car and I'm sure it went better on veg oil than diesel!  :y

I have an option to buy a 3.0 mfl MV6 manual locally, one owner from new that got laid up due to a dodgy coil pack many years ago, I've never seen it but have nagged the owner for many years to let me take it as it's destined for the fragger so I'll likely end up with it . It's worth a few quid in parts but I would be hugely surprised if it hasn't disintegrated both front and back end whilst standing.

Massive shame as it sounds like my perfect Omega but is it worth the pain of recommissioning.....highly unlikely at the moment but doubtless i'll kick myself in 10 yrs time
