Welcome  :y

Forum advise is to fit ETS/Eternal systems from eBay, as they are good quality for the price and way better than kwikfit type crap.

But, they are not there to make it sound better, just as close to factory setup as possible.

Very few of us run stainless as the cost of ETS (sub £100 for cat back) make stainless or other systems bit pointless.

IIRC Serek’s base of operation is near Kettering. So 1-2hrs away from you. You should make the journey. He’s worth it ;)

Seconded! I suggest that if at first you don't succeed in contacting him, keep trying. He is a very busy man, for obvious reasons - he is skilled, honest, thorough and a good bloke as well.

Sorry James, I was going to suggest that the OP contact you, but I wasn't sure what you could take on nowadays.
I may need to talk cambelts to you soon, as it has been 4 years since the last excellent job you made of my cambelt (doesn't time fly?). It hasn't done anywhere near 40,000 miles, though!  :y

Gosh, you were up early/late this morning: I tend not to surface until the streets are aired these days!
James, you still need to take things easy - but you know that.
Is a V6 cambelt within your range? How far are you from me?
I have (another) coolant leak, more serious this time, so until I can locate and cure it, I ain't going nowhere!

DO take care,
Ron.

Hi Ron,

Where are you losing the coolant from - given the seriousness, can you see it dripping / gushing anywhere?

No, I cannot really see any evidence, that's the problem.
I got the "Coolant Low" message on Friday after about 3 miles, and found the coolant tank nearly empty. Topped it up and drove home - half down by then.
I've not touched it until today, and it's down just a little. The only witness marks I've seen are some red antifreeze on the apron under the engine, just belowthe aux. belt area, but no wetness near the water pump at all.
I've ordered some UV tracer dye and hope that will identify the leak; it seems that the engine needs to be running and the system under pressure, but I couldn't do that over the weekend as my neighbour has a young child feeling poorly and the engine noise wouldn't have been welcome.
